2024 Run for Education

On May 5, 2024, co-founder Todd Powers and a few Empower family members participated in the OC Marathon to raise funds for our students' textbooks and workbooks in Pakistan. Our initial goal was $18,000, but we exceeded that and reached 127% of our goal totaling, $22,919. Notably, we expected 500 new students to enroll in the new school year, but 350 additional students joined, bringing the total to 850 students.

Forty of these new students would have been forced to work in leather tanneries if Empower Education had not been available to them.

To give some context, Empower covers the entire cost of a school year for these students. We provide transportation, school uniforms, textbooks, aptitude tests, curriculum, labs, field trips, family counseling, tuition fees, teachers, and more!

Access to quality education is crucial in preventing human trafficking, exploitation, and the perpetuation of poverty. We are committed to breaking the chains of oppression mentally, generationally, and spiritually. Our goal is to empower children and young adults to believe in themselves and recognize their capabilities with the support of God and their leaders.
